AI Lens (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is an AI-powered camera application developed by ATN Marketing SRL. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the AI Lens mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Images and Camera Data

When you use the App’s scanning features (object identification, plant identification, translation, etc.), the images you capture or select from your photo library are sent to our servers for AI processing. We use these images solely to provide you with analysis results and do not store them permanently on our servers.

1.2 Voice Data

If you use the voice input feature, audio is processed using Apple’s on-device speech recognition to convert your voice into text. The resulting text may be sent to our servers as part of your query. We do not store raw audio recordings.

1.3 Device and Usage Data

We may collect anonymous, non-personal usage data, including:

  • App open counts and session frequency
  • Feature usage (which scan categories are used)
  • Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Crash logs and performance diagnostics

1.4 Subscription Data

Subscription purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store and managed via RevenueCat. We receive anonymized subscription status information (active/inactive, plan type) but do not have access to your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID.

1.5 Locally Stored Data

The App stores certain data locally on your device, including:

  • Your scan history (images, results, timestamps)
  • App preferences and language settings
  • Scan streaks and usage statistics
  • Onboarding completion status

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly share it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide AI-powered image analysis, identification, and translation services
  • Process and respond to your scan queries
  • Manage your subscription and provide access to premium features
  • Send local push notifications to enhance your experience (you can disable these in device settings)
  • Improve the App’s performance, features, and user experience
  • Diagnose technical issues and prevent abuse

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

4. Data Retention

We do not permanently store the images you scan. Images are processed in real-time and discarded after the analysis result is returned. Locally stored scan history remains on your device until you delete the App or clear the data manually.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data during transmission and processing, including HTTPS encryption for all network communications. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Opt out of analytics and tracking
  • Disable push notifications through your device settings
  • Revoke camera, microphone, or photo library permissions at any time through your device settings

8. Permissions We Request

The App may request the following device permissions:

  • Camera — To capture photos for AI identification and analysis
  • Photo Library — To select existing photos for scanning
  • Microphone — To enable voice-based questions about scanned objects
  • Speech Recognition — To convert voice input into text queries
  • Notifications — To send helpful reminders and tips (optional, can be disabled anytime)

All permissions are optional. The App will request each permission only when the relevant feature is used, and you can revoke any permission at any time in your device’s Settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
