Welcome to AI Lens. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AI Lens mobile application (the “App”) developed and operated by ATN Marketing SRL (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

2. Description of Service

AI Lens is an AI-powered camera application that allows users to:

  • Identify objects, plants, animals, birds, fish, insects, rocks, and crystals using your camera or photo library
  • Translate text in images across 37+ languages
  • Identify and estimate the value of coins, banknotes, and antiques
  • Analyze food for nutritional information, calories, and recipe suggestions
  • Generate captions, memes, and descriptions from photos
  • Get educational help, photography tips, interior design feedback, and fitness plans from images
  • Read handwriting, interpret charts, detect emotions, and explore historical context
  • Chat with an AI assistant about scanned content

The App uses artificial intelligence to provide results. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results are informational and may not always be correct.

3. User Accounts

The App does not require you to create an account. An anonymous identifier is generated automatically to manage your subscription status. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your access to the App.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Tier

The App offers a limited free tier that allows up to 3 scans per day. Access to all features and unlimited scans requires a paid subscription.

4.2 Subscription Plans

We offer the following subscription options:

  • Weekly — Billed weekly with auto-renewal
  • Monthly — Billed monthly with auto-renewal
  • Yearly — Billed annually with auto-renewal
  • Lifetime — One-time purchase for permanent access

Actual prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region and currency.

4.3 Billing and Renewal

All subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple’s payment terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

4.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Upload, scan, or process illegal, harmful, abusive, or explicit content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s servers, networks, or infrastructure
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Automate access to the App using bots, scripts, or other automated means
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App’s AI results without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, AI models, branding, and content, is the intellectual property of ATN Marketing SRL and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of the images you scan. However, by using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your images solely for the purpose of providing the service.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The App uses artificial intelligence (including OpenAI’s technology) to analyze images and generate results. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI results are provided “as is” for informational purposes only
  • Results may contain inaccuracies, errors, or incomplete information
  • AI-generated value estimates for coins, antiques, or other items are approximate and should not be relied upon for financial decisions
  • Nutritional information and calorie estimates are approximate and should not replace professional dietary advice
  • Plant, animal, and insect identifications should not be used for safety-critical decisions (e.g., determining if a plant is edible or an insect is dangerous)
  • Translations are AI-generated and may not be perfectly accurate
  • Educational help results should be verified independently

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or harmful components
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ATN Marketing SRL, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Apple’s App Store, RevenueCat, OpenAI, and Firebase. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

11. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Romania.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
